Statutory Holidays and Stat Pay
You are entitled to use your BCMEA vacation days to assist you in meeting the eligibility requirement for Statutory Holiday Pay when you do not work the requisite number of days/hours in the 30 days immediately preceding the holiday.
Here is a list of the recognized Statutory Holidays for the coming 1-2 years, indicating the date on which the holiday falls as well as the first counting day for each Stat to determine if you meet the eligibility requirements. Remember there are rules regarding how far back you may go to report BCMEA days for inclusion in the calculation to make each Stat. Know your rights...make sure you get paid for each Stat you're entitled to!
