The Payroll Deductions Online Calculator
This is the website to go to determine your tax being withheld from your pay cheque:
https://apps.carc.gc.ca/ebci/rhpd/startLanguage.do?lang=English
The Payroll Deductions Online Calculator (PDOC) calculates payroll deductions for all provinces (except for Quebec), and territories based on the information you provide.
The printed calculations created by PDOC are not intended to be a statement of earnings and therefore should not be used as such.
Important note about result differences:
The PDOC applies the exact salary amount to determine the tax deductions. The Tables on Diskette (TOD) including the publications Payroll Deductions Tables and Payroll Deductions Supplementary Tables, apply the mid-point of the salary range to determine the tax deductions. All tax deductions results are correct, but the PDOC tax deductions results are more precise.
This has nothing to do with the Union or the Pay Office. DO NOT PHONE US. If you have any questions about the tax withholding calculation please call the Canada Revenue Agency at 1-800-663-9334 and they will assist you.
In solidarity
Peter Haines
Secretary Treasurer
